About the South Asian Literature & Art Festival
The South Asian Literature and Art Festival showcases contemporary reflections of literature and arts from the sub-continent and its diaspora.
South Asian Literature and Art Festival is a path-breaking, multi-disciplinary event, and as such one of its kind in the US. We will provide a platform that will spark an enlightened, erudite, and immersive engagement. This expertly curated event will represent South-Asian culture to the broad Bay Area audience. Over two days, we feature highly acclaimed contemporary South Asian speaker, as also over 24 panel discussions on various topics broadly literature, art, epicurean and diaspora social issues.
This year's theme is thoughts without borders, and we are looking at how we need to come together, especially in the times we live in by examining the borders we create like caste, class, gender biases and the borders of nation state, in most of our panels.

Acclaimed author, educator, researcher, and theatre-maker Dr. Nandita Dinesh is offering a limited number of personalized one-on-one consultations for individuals working on storytelling projects. With her intercultural and interdisciplinary expertise, she will provide tailored guidance based on the goals and questions you submit in advance.
Only 8 spots available; Don’t miss this opportunity to refine your story.

This workshop will introduce asemic writing: a practice that lives between text and image, language and abstraction. It invites freedom, interpretation, and new forms of expression.
